Cornell in NYC: Spotlights
From restaurants and laboratories to entrepreneurs and entertainers, explore how we impact the fabric of life in the greatest city on Earth.
New York City is the number one market in the broadcasting business, and it was always my dream to work here. Now my voice is a tiny thread in the city’s fabric — and I’m still genuinely surprised anyone wants it, including the "Today" show, where I’ve been a fill-in announcer for the past three years.
New York is highly competitive and has been a great teacher — just like Cornell, a name that opens doors. I'd rather wear a Cornell T-shirt than carry the most expensive purse in the world. I'm so proud my school and my city are getting to know each other even better.
